Right now, I am working on putting in some plans to ensure that all the contributions/features/fixes are tracked properly and the contributors are kept abreast of the happenings. The intent of taking the contributions seriously is that these will encourage the community to give more. It is always a good thing to see one’s labour being put to good use.
I have often been at the other side of the fence too and used to feel really really sick and bad by the total callousness of the crowd. I do not intend to give the same feeling myself to the rest.
There will be a substantial reduction in the Patch1 data as we are swamped with the forum and other posts that we get.
It is really frustrating but that is how it is. It is much better to make do with what we have than to screwup thinking great and should I say impractical ideas/implementations. We are nearing close to 30 fixes I guess and I think that should be good enough for the Patch1. These 30 include the code-contributions as well.
Nithya has been doing a good job of moving all the info that we get into the respective trac/mailinglist/wiki. This has kept us in good stead. From here on, the community work is most important else we will keep running in circles.
