An interesting article this [link removed] .

This will have interesting impacts in terms of Open Source. As it is the prices of the service offerings and the products are way too expensive. If and when the US economy goes down, this will make people look for other cheaper alternatives and Open Source will fit like a glove there.

The US Economy has been a pretty much indicator of the world-economy. Once it is in doldrums, the rest of the world will certainly feel the shocks too. Not that it makes me any too happy because I support Open Source but then the repercussions will have positive benefits to the open-source kinds.
The Iraq-war, the war-against-terror, the so-called WMD, bin-laden, etc are keeping the situation from returning back to normal anytime soon. Blair is being asked to leave office, ppl are almost out in the streets requesting Bush to do the same, reports say that the iraq-war has made the world esp the US much more insecure place to live in, ….
Things are way too scary now.

Either Bush is going to be one of the greatest heros of all time or one of the greatest villains of all time…
